Rio Gallegos – a town built on ice cream shops…

(Rio Gallegos, Chile, 21-22st of November 2017)

We had booked a bus from Rio Turbio, a town on the Argentinian side and we got a ride with the owner of our hotel to get over the border.

The trip to Rio Gallegos from Rio Turbio was really comfortable but the town of Rio Gallegos was not very fun. We walked around for more than an hour to try to find an open restaurant. Oddly, there were a lack of restaurants, but the city had a lot of ice cream shops, a lot more than the amount of restaurants so after our hot meal we had some very nice ice cream cones.
