Puerto Natales – a cold and windy place

(Puerto Natales, Chile, 20-21st of November 2017)

We arrived to Puerto Natales late at night at the 20:th of November. It took a really long time to get of the ferry, we had to wait for more than one hour to get off. We were told that one person of the staff had passed away during the trip. The police got on board the ship to decide if it was a death from natural causes before we were allowed to leave the ship and we had to stand on deck and wait until they had finished their investigation.

Puerto Natales was a really cold and windy town and we were really happy when we got to our hotel at 23.00, after a long walk during the deserted town.
