Santiago de Chile – a likeable town
(Santiago de Chile, Chile, 9-13th of November 2017)
We took a flight from San Pedro to Santiago de Chile and had pre booked a hotel in an area rather far away from the center. It was a really nice place decorated in a oldfashioned way.
Santiago was a really nice city. We participated in a walking tour and it was a really interesting one. We got to know about the phenomenon “coffee with legs” – a café with covered windows where you can get coffee served by girls dressed in minimalistic outfits.
We also passed by a restaurant which changed its name after a short (2 minutes) visit by a thirsty Bill Clinton.
We also climbed the San Cristobal hill – a hot and tough one – where we got a great view over the city.
On the way we passed by a small handicraft shop owned by a Swedish lady who was really happy to get the opportunity to have a chat in Swedish.
One day we booked a day trip to visit Valparaiso, a small town by the ocean, famous for being colourful and worth a visit.
