Opening ceremony of the Adelaide Fringe

(Adelaide, Australia, 17th of February 2017)

We decided that we wanted to stay in Adelaide a little longer partly because of the Fringe – a festival that we would like to have time to visit – and partly because we have not had time to plan our journey into the future. Finding a hotel turned out to be not the easiest thing this weekend. Besides the festival there was also a Guns and Roses concert in Town and all the hotels were unfortunately fully booked. However, we had a roof over our heads one more night so we decided that the problem would resolve by itself tomorrow.
During the afternoon we amused ourselves with putting together some things we wanted to send home, and then went to the post office to send the parcel. It was a glorious mix of bicycle tires, clothes and newly purchased mugs (with super nice aboriginal patterns).
The evening we spent in town where the festival offered a show of music and light with aboriginal dance and amazing light shows on the house façades.
