Bye, bye India – we will definately meet again!

(Goa and Delhi, India, 25th of november to 11th of december)

Our long trip in India will soon be over and we spent our last weeks in one of our favourite places in India, a beach in Goa. We had planned to go back to Palolem beach, where we spent some lazy weeks in October, but when we got there the place was all changed. The beach was now filled with tourists, new bungalows were set up everywhere and also a lot of sunbeds and we decided to go to Patnem instead, a smaller beach a couple of kilometers to the south.

In Patnem we stayed in a nice, brand new family hotel, Eve Resort, near the beach and Kranti yoga where Christel has attended two yoga classes a day.

Johan has spent the time during which Christel attended yoga classes running and swimming. The rest of the time we together have enjoyed some hours at the sunny beach and in the evenings we have eaten either at our favorite restaurants in Palolem or down at the beach in Patnem. We have eaten some fantastic seafood and tandoori dishes!

We (Christel) have, during these last weeks, become really serious when it comes to shopping. After a trip to the “Saturday night market” in north Goa we had to buy a new bag to be able to bring all our things home to Sweden.

The last two days were spent in Delhi. We enjoyed our last Indian meals, of course including a vegetarian Thali, some more shopping ( the bag we bought is huge!!) and got a last glance at the crazy, colourful Indian street life.

Christel hav been walking around in her flipflops almost all the time here and they actually survived the whole trip! But now they are really worn out and will not follow us home to Sweden – instead the hard working flip flops will spend the rest of their life in a waste bin in Delhi. We guess they survived almost 1 million steps!!

The time we have spent in India has been really fantastic and it is a country which is easy to fall in love with. We have already planned to come back – probably in the beginning of 2018!
